Connections Adult Program
An innovative program for young adults ages 23+ who have autism or related disabilities
We serve young adults who:
-
Have a medical diagnosis of autism or a related disability.
-
Are ages 23 or older.
-
Need a structured program focused on social skills, community integration, independent-living skills, vocational competencies and functional leisure skills.
-
Have transportation to our school in Central Palm Beach County.
We deliver:
-
Social skills instruction to help our young adults retain skills they've worked so hard to master and to continue progressing.
-
Programs that build confidence and self-sufficiency whether our young adult is living with parents or beyond their home. This can include autism-friendly instruction on skills like cooking, personal care, laundry, housekeeping, goal setting, banking and more.
-
Vocational training to help our young adults acquire skills they'll need at work plus a general understanding about getting and keeping a job.
-
Expanded learning opportunities through our Health, Wellness & Aquatic Program that features weekly swim lessons and classes on fitness, healthy eating, kitchen safety and more.
-
Experiences out in the community to help these young adults better connect with their families, peers and the community.
-
Small group sizes with low staff-to-student ratios.
